The KASBO Academy has been created by the KASBO Board of Directors to offer training to Kansas school business officials that will lead to certification as a KASBO School Business Official.
We envision a program of training that covers basic information and competencies required of Kansas business officials.
On Friday, April 10, we are offering Risk Management at a cost of $150, which includes 6 hours of instruction and lunch. Please see the course information below:
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Anyone tasked with Risk Management responsibilities or being the designated School Risk Manager in their district plays a key role. Understanding the role of Risk Manager is important as it impacts many areas School Business Officials tend to oversee. Come learn about this role and the identification and evaluation of the risks inherent to schools. We will have discussions about common insurance policies to consider and sample forms. The Claims Process and some fictitious case studies will also be reviewed. This class is designed to offer something for all School Business Officials, regardless of your prior experience in Risk Management. Lower your risk today, by planning to attend the KASBO Academy – Risk Management!
